Tri-Immune Booster
What is the Tri-Immune Booster?
The tri-immune booster is an injectable combination of two potent antioxidants and one essential mineral, formulated to support the body’s immune response. Unlike oral supplements, the injectable format delivers these compounds directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive tract for reliable absorption. Make it your new favorite immunity boost shot!
Each dose is administered by a registered nurse at either of our two Memphis-area clinics, or at your workplace for groups of 10 or more.
What’s in the Tri-Immune Booster?
The formula contains three active ingredients:
- Vitamin C (ascorbic acid): 200mg/ml
- Glutathione: 200mg/ml
- Zinc: 5mg/ml
How Each Ingredient Works
Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)
Vitamin C is a strong antioxidant that contributes to immune defense by supporting various cellular functions of both the innate and adaptive immune system, it is also one of the most well-researched micronutrients in immune function. Vitamin C stimulates the production/function of white blood cells and acts as an antioxidant that protects immune cells from damage generated during an immune response. Because the body cannot produce or store Vitamin C, consistent intake is important, and absorption from oral supplements can be limited at higher doses.
Zinc
Zinc is an essential mineral that the body cannot produce or store, meaning it must be obtained through diet or supplementation regularly. Supplementing with this mineral may help combat infections and aid wound healing. It also plays a foundational role in immune function: zinc is required for the development and activation of T lymphocytes, supports the integrity of the skin and mucosal barriers that prevent pathogen entry, and has well-documented antiviral properties. Zinc deficiency (even mild deficiency) is associated with impaired immune response and increased susceptibility to infection. Supplementation has been shown in clinical research to reduce the duration and severity of common respiratory infections.
Glutathione
Glutathione is often referred to as the body’s master antioxidant. This amino acid contributes to immune defense in two important ways: it protects host immune cells through its antioxidant mechanism, and it provides the optimal functioning of lymphocytes and other cells of the immune system. It is a tripeptide (composed of three amino acids: glutamine, cysteine, and glycine) produced naturally in the liver. Glutathione levels decline naturally with age, illness, and chronic stress. Oral glutathione supplementation has poor bioavailability, making injection the most effective delivery method.
What to Know Before Your Shot
Mild redness or irritation at the injection site may occur and typically resolves within 48 hours. All three ingredients in this formula are naturally occurring compounds and are generally well tolerated at the doses used.
As with all injectable services at The Shot Nurse, this formula is administered exclusively by licensed registered nurses. Please inform your nurse of any relevant medical history, current medications, or known sensitivities before receiving this injection. Always consult your physician before beginning any new supplementation regimen.
